I was born in Ann Arbor, MI and lived there until I was 3. I grew up in Waterford, MI which is where my family still lives. I graduated from Waterford Kettering High School and attended Central Michigan University. I graduated with a major in Integrated Science and a minor in History. This will be my sixth year teaching.
I completed my student teaching here in Vestaburg with Mrs. Johnston in 2nd grade. I taught 3rd grade my first year, a 2nd/3rd grade split my second year, 2nd grade my third year, looped up to 3rd grade with that group for my third year and have been in 3rd grade ever since. I really enjoy teaching 3rd grade. I love the amount of content we are able to cover and how much students grow and mature as 3rd graders. I moved to Vestaburg in 2016. My husband (and high school sweetheart) Dustin is the Center Director of the Success Virtual Learning Centers for both Vestaburg and Lakeview. I do 2 cats. Bentley is 7 years old and Winston is 7. (I really love telling stories about my cats.) I spend a lot of time helping my husband while he coaches JV Girls Basketball and Track & Field. I am an avid reader and love to travel. I am also a huge sports fan! |
